This event was almost an hour over time - this is very frustrating if you take a young child to see the fireworks at the advertised time.

Many families with young children left early because of this

I think the events organiser should be able to do better

i think the fire works were much better than last year but it was ridiculous how late it went. i have young children myself and agree it was far too late. im not happy and will think twice about going next year.

I thought it was a lovely evening. It's not often you can get almost 100,000 people in one place and have things go so smoothly. Bic Runga was fantastic after having not performed in a concert for a year. We are really lucky to have her visit her home town. The fireworks were fabulous. There were lots of young kids there and most of them didn't seem to mind staying up for the fireworks. The organisation was top-notch and certainly not too long from 8-10.30.
